We made it!! Through the trials and tribulations of wedding planning we emerged triumphant. A perfectly beautiful wedding that was truly an amazingly happy day. We were so overwhelmed with the generosity and grace of our friends and surrounded by the love of our families.

Melt Down.

I had my first marriage related meltdown this weekend, 3 days of family and DIY and driving and pressure will do that to you. I blame my caterer, that crazy bi***. More on that later. Now that the dam has burst and I am officially freaking out about 10 days left to the wedding please note one of my (Irrational??) fears.

Although one of my big ideas going into this wedding is that I trust my best friends, aka the BM's, to dress themselves and pick out what is best for each of them, now I am freaking out that one of them is going to go to Burning Man or a lake or a run or something and end up like this:

If these girls weren't already my best friends I would go out and search them out, stalk them, and then MAKE them be my BFF's.

Staged Wedding Party Photos.

Although P and I hired Jerry Yoon because we really liked his photo journalistic and candid style, we of course have to have some traditional posed photos. I know that these are the ones that our folks will probably like the most and that will get framed and sit in a place of honor on our baby grand piano (hey, a girl can dream right?). The secret is finding a posed picture that isn't too cheesy and can feel natural. I liked these pictures as examples of what we might do for our more formal shots with the wedding party.

Bikes in your Barrio

P and I are not having a country woodsy affair, it will be as Urbany as you can get in Sacramento, California. But I still love the ubiquitous pictures that I keep seeing of people incorporate bicycles in their wedding and engagement shots, in the wilderness and in streets.

If I was lucky enough to be using bikes in our wedding, I would be rocking these babies.

There is a place to stash your Bridal FLASK! One of my BM's expecially would rock this so hard. (you know who you are!!) Love, love, love it.

Almost Legal.

I could go get my marriage license right now. If I wanted to. Which I don't really, not in SF. Because I'm going to do it in Sutter County where it is like $80 cheaper. But if I wanted to, this is the day, baby. 90 days out and counting.



I'm getting excited to marry P. And have a party where we serve pork products.

This weekend I am going to go to Chris K's house to worship at the shrine of all things wedding. The wedding video and photos are back from the fabulouse Auberge wedding. I love you Friday.

Wedding Party!

We have yet to reach our goal of formally asking all of our wedding attendants to "stand with us" in our wedding. PdR and I must remedy this, but this week we have been as sick as dogs with hay fever or colds or some incredibly evil germ that steals your health on totally beautiful weekends. Once we recover we will be back on track with the asking. We will formally ask our flower girls and ring bearers soon, probably at Easter. I am shopping Amazon for fun books to explain their duties (please don't cry, freak out, or run down the aisle. Just saunter down and stay there,pick your nose if you have too, but that's it.
