Halloween Hangover?

Not really this year, I guess the Halloween Hangover is supposed to refer to overloading on candy but we pretty much behaved ourselves this year. We celebrated GRE BM's bday and then went to a Halloween house party with some of P's friends. The next morning we dressed up the doggie and met Bakey and Mr. Bakey for brunch. Is this a little bit of dog abuse?

Have you noticed the crazy dirty carpet and the huge black spot next to the sliding glass door? At first it was a total mystery but then we figured out that it developed from the dog sun bathing in this primo spot. Please don't ask me why we didn't figure out putting a little mat or carpet there before it totally ruined the carpet. Also, that peach 1982 monstrosity we are calling our carpet? Out as soon as possible. Now that the wedding is over I will finally have time to lobby for replacing it with hard wood.

Happy Halloweenie!!

Franco has two costumes to choose from and because of being SKUNKED a couple weeks ago (that is a story too horrifying to even get into) he has smelled too bad to try them on until today. He will either be a skunk(OH, the poetic justice of it all!) or a Pirate specifically this costume claims, Jack Sparrow. And you know how much P and I love pirates.

Last year we got him the ubiquitous Hot Dog costume and he HATED it. He thrashed around like a bat out of hell and then rolled and snapped and bit at it until it came off and then he chewed it into oblivion. Hopefully, we have better luck this year.

Golden List: Exhibit D

My darling Dachshund, Franco, who is really part of the family has turned me into a mess when it comes to Doxie things. I want them all, I especially want these awesome Jonathan Adler White Resin Bookends from Barnes and Noble.

On our wedding day Franco waits for us with Percy's family. Cousin Marvic, Uncle Greg, Cousin Richard, Uncle Demy, Cousin Jodie, Uncle Mike, Canada family and Uncle John.

Adorable, no?

Doggies in Weddings. Do or Don't?

Cute post over at Smitten, and makes me think YES! Of course Franco Franco has to be in some wedding pictures!! But then I think...who will take him back home when we are done with the photos. The Catholic church frowns upon dogs in the pews. And clearly my pooch can not wait in the car. So, something to think about.

If your dog was having a shower he would register for this.

This is a real wardrobe addition that you can buy for your doggie. If Franco didn't already own the best sweatshirt around, he might be tempted to rock one of these. Thanks, Bakey BM, for loving ridiculous dog outfits as much as I do.

Should have registered at Pottery Barn, then I could have asked for this sweet little doxie antique replica statue. He stands at inches and is aluminum base with a bronze finish. Swoon.

You can see the cute statue hiding behind the laptop. I like how they have styled this photo to include a glass of wine, to while away the hours when you work at home.

One doxie and a labrador.
