The First Golden Birthday~

Belongs to none other than GRE BM! You know how there are some people in the world who are just innately great at something? Well my dear friend GRE BM is one of those people who has so much natural grace, kindness, and compassion and excels at being a wonderful listener. GRE is infinitely just and fair and has a natural ability to get down to the heart of the matter better than anyone else I know.

She is smart, funny, irreverent and beautiful to boot. To top it all off GRE cuts a mean rug. Keep Dancing!!

This is the first Golden Birthday of the Year!!

Golden Birthday!

Your golden birthday is when you turn your age on the date of your birthday. For example I am going to be turning 29 on the 29th of December this year. I also think it is fortuitous that it will be in 2009! This isn't a really popular tradition on the West coast, I think it's more common in the South but I just love it. So for all these reasons as well as it is also my darling GRE BM's golden birthday later this month I have decided we must have a small golden party to celebrate us.

This will take place sometime in mid November and I will let you know the details as we go along. For now, I will be compiling a list for Dear Hubby of acceptable gifts for this occasion. They should conform to the gold them, natch!

First up: Rings! Because now my right hand feels naked it would like a ring for my birthday. How about anything from By Boe?

Can you believe we all managed to survive my epic bachelorette party? There are so many things to say about this...If you have ever wondered why certain people have incredibly strong aversions to certain drinks or types of alcohol, it's because of nights like this one.

Bakey BM: LE- wait for it GENDARY. Epic poems will be written to honor the bachelorette party which nearly felled the BM crew and it's intrepid leader Bride Attack.

GRE BM: Well now we have proof that yes, Bio BM DID get on the stage to dance and BrideAttack learned how to collect dolla dolla bills in her mouth from "El Hulk". We make Mom proud!

Bio BM: It was all I could have ever wanted. So ridiculous, I just remember GRE BM going into the half naked dancers area and me following then me turning around and throwing the money to the crowd. Wow.

Stats BM: Just told BrideAttack that the devil juice drinks have been laid to rest. I am going to create a new signature cocktail because I don't think any of us want to ever see, hear the name, or taste a flirtini again. :)





And last but certainly not least, from GRE BM: You better stay married. My body, emotional state, and mental well being CAN NOT handle that ever again. lord...

Garters. hot or not?

OK, so that is not really the question. Garters in my estimation are yes, always hot. And they can be cute too. BUT, the real question is whether or not I will personally be rocking one where it can be seen by my wedding guests. On some level, I love traditions and the hilarity that can ensue when they are followed. But in a deeper place, I sort of hate dated sexist ideas and think they probably don't need to be followed at my wedding. Plus, P putting his hand up my dress in front of our friends and family just CREEPS me out to no end!!
