Golden Birthday!

Your golden birthday is when you turn your age on the date of your birthday. For example I am going to be turning 29 on the 29th of December this year. I also think it is fortuitous that it will be in 2009! This isn't a really popular tradition on the West coast, I think it's more common in the South but I just love it. So for all these reasons as well as it is also my darling GRE BM's golden birthday later this month I have decided we must have a small golden party to celebrate us.

This will take place sometime in mid November and I will let you know the details as we go along. For now, I will be compiling a list for Dear Hubby of acceptable gifts for this occasion. They should conform to the gold them, natch!

First up: Rings! Because now my right hand feels naked it would like a ring for my birthday. How about anything from By Boe?

Noventaitres Dias!

93 Days and counting down. The little details are becoming important now. There were so many things that I wanted to start thinking about but they seemed really too far away to be practical. You can't even get your marriage license until 90 days out, so all of the sudden 90 days is the magic number when in my mind, every thing can finally start happening!

I will be using ring pillows for the ring bearers (almost 3 years old seems too young for ceramics) but if I wasn't I would be using these amazing wedding bowls from Etsy vendor, Paloma's Nest

I love love love the be happy bowl, there are so many tender sayings that she has Incorporated into these works of art.

I especially like the Patience bowl because it is a virtue I am continually in search of!

The "P" bowl would be near to my heart, for obvious reasons.

Even if I don't use it for walking the rings down the aisle, I think I will have to get a sweet bowl to store my rings in when I take them off at night. Should I get P a matching one? And what should they say...
