We made it!! Through the trials and tribulations of wedding planning we emerged triumphant. A perfectly beautiful wedding that was truly an amazingly happy day. We were so overwhelmed with the generosity and grace of our friends and surrounded by the love of our families.

Thank you for the pictures, Theo! And now, on to Cabo!!

Rosa Rosa Rosas

Researching DIY Bouquets for the wedding has convinced me that keeping it simple is the best way to ensure blooming success. One color, one flower, one shape. BM's will have the creamy white Vandela roses tied with fuchsia or orange satin ribbon and I will have the bi color circus roses. I loved the following bouquets for the bright vivid color and simple ribbons tying them.

Simple Bouquet & Simple Song

There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

I love this simple bouquet and I love the Beatles and I love you.

Ish is Real, Yo.

Check out these amazing paper flowers. Pretty much the opposite of what I am looking for in bouquets (time-saving, budget-saving, sanity-saving). These are so gorg, but you know sister spent lotsa time, paid a pretty penny and probably cried a couple of times before she was done.

Hope in a picture!

This picture has banished my fears that a DIY bouquet would be cheesy or cheap looking! Quote from the bride, "The bridesmaid's flowers are bicolor circus roses and I have a combo of white regular and garden roses. I got all the flowers from fiftyflowers.com and put together the bouquets on Thursday for my Saturday wedding. "

Sounds like a time line I can work with! And I love how vibrant the colors of the BM bouquets are. From WeddingBee.com Gallery.

DIY Dilemma.

As the 6 month countdown begins, I am realizing it's finally time to get started with some of the DIY projects. Among the possible projects I will be tackling with one or two lovely BMs are the bridal bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets. I have been researching all the wedding websites and blogs and I think it looks doable (DIY-able?). Question: Do you have to be McGyver to do your own wedding flowers?
