Thoughtful Sweetness

If you have followed this link to our Wedding Photo Teasers by Jerry Yoon you would have heard "Printemps" sung by Béatrice Martin alias Cœur de Pirate. How wonderful to have our theme song on this slideshow be performed by an artists whose name is Heart of Pirate!! Our wedding was on September 19, 2009, aka, International Talk Like A Pirate Day and our after party was held in the "Pirate Suite", Percy's room at the Sacramento Sheraton Grand, kindly decorated by the BM Crew. Understandably, P and I have a certain fondness for Pirates. Ahoy!

How (Not) to personalize your wedding?

From NPR, :"Apparently, there's no shortage of people who make misguided choices for wedding processions, father-daughter dances, cake-cuttings and everything in between. Here are some of the least appropriate songs ever heard at weddings". The list includes: Send in the Clowns (Judy Collins), You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin' (Righteous Brothers), The Lady is a Tramp (Frank Sinatra)and Just a Gigolo (Louis Prima).

Some of these are truly funny and made me remember going to the wedding of a dear family friend whose wedding Recessional was Queen's anthem, "Another One Bites The Dust". Which at the time and still to this day seems great and perfect as you saunter out of your wedding ceremony to face the world.

Mariachi Madness

Please say hello to our Mariachi, Los Gallos! Hailing from Sacramento they are ostensibly THE IT band to have at your wedding. We plan on having them perform after the wedding ceremony and pose in some come on frankly awesome photos - BMs in Mariachi sombreros anyone? - and perform during our cocktail hour.
