So many fabulous things about this bolero, not least of which is the construction from pinya (pineapple fibers that are commonly used for Filipino formal wear). In the designer's own words "This piece is made from 'pinya' -- an intricately woven pineapple fiber in the Philippine Islands . It is organic and simply unique! The consistency of it's texture is quite grainy and intriguing. This fabric has a mind of it's own." I am yearning for it and yet I suspect that it may prove to be more architectural then my soft dress will allow.
